A biomechanical and gait assessment is performed to determine the type of footwear that is required for your foot and body needs.

CUSTOM MADE FOOTWEAR
Custom shoes may be required in extreme circumstances where amputations or severe foot deformities prevent the use of regular shoes. A cast is taken, a last made and shoes are manufactured.

ORTHOPEDIC SHOES
Footwear that are deemed ‘medical grade’ have specific structural features that can benefit individuals with certain disabilities or deformities or wide/swollen feet. Orthopedic shoes are deeper and wider than regular shoes.

THERAPEUTIC SHOES
Footwear with quality materials and sensible characteristics like wide toe boxes that are more style conscious

MODIFIED FOOTWEAR
Many types of shoes can be modified or re-inforced. For example elevations for leg length differences; rocker soles to unload ankles or ball of the foot pain; flares and buttresses for more foot support.
